Melbourne, VIC – R L F Gallery & R L Foote Design Studio is delighted to present From Earth Through Fire is a curated group exhibition that highlights the medium's rich traditions while embracing its contemporary expressions.
From Earth Through Fire celebrates this journey, presenting works that not only highlight the medium’s resilience but also its capacity to convey deep cultural and emotional narratives. The exhibition features a dynamic range of expressions: some works pay tribute to art history, reinterpreting traditional forms; others explore the fragility of life through delicate, evocative structures; some are playful, infusing humor and whimsy; and others bridge East and West, blending cultural aesthetics to create dialogues across borders.
"At RLF Gallery, we celebrate the power of ceramics as a medium that transcends boundaries and cultures. Situated in Melbourne, a vibrant hub of art, culture, and cuisine, we aim to welcome art lovers to our beautiful space and to provide a space for creativity." Says founder Ryan L Foote. This exhibition is part of an ongoing series designed to engage a wider audience and foster collaborative opportunities within the art community. "These curated exhibition series showcase talented artists of all ages and backgrounds. Each unique narratives and techniques, promoting a deeper understanding of this ancient craft in contemporary settings." says curator Rose Liang.

Running from July 26 to August 24, 2025, with an opening reception on July 26 from 10am to 4pm, this exhibition at R L Foote Design Studio, 1 Parslow St, Clifton Hill, VIC, showcases the diverse practices of emerging and established ceramic artists based in Australia.
