RLF Glaze Lab is housed within R L Foote Design Studio, a professional ceramic studio dedicated to sharing our expertise through a range of public workshops and courses. From slip-casting to hand-building ceramic sculpture, our classes are designed to teach at all skill levels.
Join our fun, hands-on ceramics workshop where you’ll create your own plate and cup using slip-casting techniques. Then bring your pieces to life with underglaze painting to achieve beautiful watercolor-style designs.

R L Foote Design Studio makes all our own glazes in-house for our ceramic production and we are now opening up our Glaze Lab for in-person masterclasses.
If you have ever wanted to make your own glazes and understand the science behind what happens in the kiln, this is the course for you.

Price includes all materials and equipment required. Additional firings, clay and glaze are available at a cost.
Free onsite parking available. Clifton Hill train station is a five to ten minute walk from the studio.
Please wear closed-toe footwear and comfortable clothing that you are happy to get dirty in!
By booking a place in the Slipcasting Afternoon Workshop, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.
Ceramic pieces should be ready for pick-up 1-3 weeks after your workshop. We ask if you could pick up your pieces within 2 weeks of receiving our email, sadly we don’t have the room to store and pieces may be disposed of if not collected.
